Another #30DaysofBourbon Challenge is in the Books - Thank you!

Wow, that was a fast 30 Days of Bourbon Challenge! In some ways, I’m sad; in others, I’m happy it is over and done with. I sip whiskey almost every day, and I almost always limit myself to one pour – because I embrace drinking responsibly.

I’m happy because, as a whiskey reviewer, the samples from distilleries keep rolling in, and they’re not all Bourbon. I can’t allow those incoming samples to back up in the queue because it is rude not to process things in a timely fashion, and other times, some whiskeys are about to be released, and the brand wants a review before the official launch date.

That translates to several days when I take more than one pour – one for the 30 Days of Bourbon and another for what I’m reviewing. So, yeah, I’m happy this year’s Challenge is in the books.

The final activity of the Challenge is to donate at least $30.00 to any charity of my choosing. This year, I’ve bumped up my donation to $50.00. I have always dedicated my Challenge to the Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome Association (RSDS.org). Their mission is to help those afflicted with Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome (a/k/a Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy) while driving research for a cure for this horrific disease. Here is a copy of my donation:

Thank you to those who participated in this year’s Challenge! I hope you found it fun and more than what you expected. Feel free to shout out to your charity of choice in the comment section.

Finally, at the rate that 2024 has been flying by, the 2025 Challenge is just around the corner. Cheers!
