The 360° Live Virtual Experience from Glen Moray Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Have you heard of Glen Moray? It is one of those Scotch whisky brands often found on the bottom shelf of a liquor store. That can be off-putting to some; instead, they’ll gravitate to prettier labels and more impressive price tags. You can check out my review of four of its offerings here (spoiler, they’re pretty darned good!).

Today, I have something fun to share with you. Glen Moray has just launched a Live Virtual Experience that's absolutely free! You'll need your trusty mobile device to participate - a traditional computer won't cut it. So get ready to scan the QR code below and let the adventure begin!

Next, you’ll be taken to the main page. Glen Moray recommends pointing your device at the label of any Glen Moray bottle. No bottle? No problem! Just click the “No Bottle Handy” option.

However, if you use the device to scan the label, you’ll get a quick video explanation of the meaning of the four parts of the Glen Moray crest. If you move the bottle or device, the logo floats as it follows your camera.

After the splash screen, you’ll have an opportunity to experience the distillery's 360° Hybrid Virtual Tour. Just click “START.”

It starts with a brief video introduction and then moves on to the tour.

Up first is the Glen Moray House. Click the 360° button, and you’re transported inside, where you can look around as if you were standing in the middle of the room! There are a few Easter eggs that you can click on throughout the tour to get more information.

You can, at any time, click either “NEXT SCENE” or the menu button on the screen. The latter allows you to select any scene you want to visit next. You’ll see that some offer 360° views while others don’t.

While my goal is not to screenshot the entire tour, I hope you’ve got the gist of what this is all about. Even though I haven't visited Scotland yet, the Glen Moray Live Virtual Tour had me hooked from start to finish. Whether you're a whisky aficionado or just starting out, this tour has something for everyone.

Finally, after you’ve taken the tour, you’re free to peruse all of the whiskies Glen Moray offers by visiting the main website or engaging with the distillery on social media.

Whiskeyfellow encourages you to enjoy your whiskey as you see fit but begs you to do so responsibly.
